So to summarize, my Huawei Mate 9 couldn't find my smartband Xiaomi Mi Band 2 under BT settings, for the purpose of using the band as a Smart Unlock device. After trying many things I found a solution that worked for me!! Try to follow these steps hopefully they help you to connect your Mi Band 2 with your Mate 9 too!
1. Force stop the “ Bluetooth Share process ” from the path Settings > Apps > Running apps. 2. Make sure to clear all the Cache data. 3. Launch Bluetooth Settings and select the Mi Band and tap “ Forget Device ”. 4. Now retry connecting the Mi Band with your Android device using Mi Fit application.

Whan I unpaired the 4 from my phone/mifit, it was reset to factory setting I think, and its interface became Chinese.
